This is the ultimate fall salad. Toss with apple cider vinaigrette.

Top any salad with this combo.  It can be a wedge salad if you are using iceberg.  Top with bacon and chives, or, use a mixed lettuce, skip the bacon and still enjoy a great salad.

Marinate your tomatoes before adding them to your salad. You will not believe how good this makes your lettuce taste.

I used heirloom tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. The combination of both gives a great flavor. Serve with toasted bread drizzled with olive oil to sop up all the liquid.

In August, figs are in season in SoCal.  This salad uses a simple lettuce mix with figs as the star.
