This chutney is full of flavor and can be used with any Indian dish.

Ingredients

1 cup fresh mint (with tender stems)

1 cup fresh cilantro (with tender stems)

3 garlic cloves, peeled
-
1 inch piece of ginger
-
1 green chili
-
2 T. Roasted gram dal (or dried chickpeas)

½ teaspoon salt
-
½ lemon, juiced
-
¼ cup water
Directions
Add all the ingredients into a blender and grind until you have a smooth paste. Slowly add additional water if needed to make a paste.
