Crock pot Chili with beans

Ingredients

1 T. Olive oil
-
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef or turkey

1 onion finely chopped

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup bell pepper, finely chopped

1 jalapeño, charred, deseeded and chopped.

2 cans Rotel tomatoes (diced tomatoes and green chilis)

3 cups tomato sauce
-
2 1/2 T. Chili powder

1 T. Ancho chili powder
-
1 T. Garlic powder
-
1/2 teaspoon pepper
-
2 teaspoons paprika
-
2 - 16 oz cans kidney beans

2 T. Cumin powder
-
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

1/2 cup beef broth
-
2 teaspoons cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
In a medium sized pan, heat olive oil and add ground meat and cook until browned. Add onions, garlic, bell pepper and jalapeño. Cook until onions and bell pepper are tender.
Add meat mixture to crockpot and add the rest of the ingredients. Set to low for 6 hours.
Recipe Note
On the side serve chopped onions, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, sour cream
