Infused Oil
Make dressing
Directions
Heat spices
In a small saucepan add ¼ cup olive oil. Add red pepper flakes and oregano and heat over medium heat. Do not let the oil sizzle, you just want to infuse the oil with the flavor of the spices. Remove from heat and add remaining ½ cup olive oil to cool down the mixture.
Make dressing
Combine the red wine vinegar, mustard, lemon juice, pinch of salt and minced garlic in a small bowl. Set aside while you infuse the oil with spices.
Pour the infused oil into the vinegar mixture and whisk until smooth.
Note: you can also add the ingredients to a small mason jar and shake to combine.
Recipe Note
Pour warm vinaigrette over salad or set aside and use later. Either way this dressing is a winner.
