This recipe is from an old neighbor, Theresa H. She always served the best food. Watch this dip soon become everyone's favorite! I have given this recipe to everyone that has tasted it because they want it for their next party.
Ingredients
-
1 bunch green onion, chopped
-
1 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
-
2 tomatoes, chopped
-
1 prepared recipe, Good Seasons Italian dressing (or your favorite bottle of Italian dressing)
-
1-4oz can diced green chilis (mild)
-
1-4oz can chopped black olives
-
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
Directions
Mix all the chopped ingredients in a large bowl and then fold in shredded cheese. Pour the entire bottle of dressing into the bowl and fold to combine. Best when prepared 3-4 hours before serving.
Serve with tortilla chips.
Note: I have also served this as a topping for fish tacos or hamburgers.
Recipe Note
The packet of dry salad mix (Good Seasons dressing mix) can be found in the salad dressing aisle at the grocery store. Following the directions on the package to make one jar of italian dressing and then the whole jar goes into this dip.
