Ingredients
-
½ can (150ml) condensed milk
-
I can (370ml) evaporated milk
-
1 8oz (226g) container Cool Whip
-
2 Tbsp. Ground almonds
-
1 ½ teaspoons cardamom powder
-
2 teaspoons saffron
-
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
-
Sliced pistachios for decorating
-
Sliced almonds for decorating
Directions
Mix sugar and saffron and grind with mortar and pestle. Mixture should be ground together and resemble powdered (10x) sugar. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix condensed milk, evaporated milk and Cool Whip. Blend with hand mixture until no lumps remain.
Add ground almond, cardamom powder and saffron/sugar mixture and stir until combined.
Pour mixture into individual serving cups or ice cream molds and garnish with sliced pistachios and almonds.
Place in freezer for 5-6 hours.
Recipe Note
I use small paper cups and when serving I cut the paper cup and pull it off before serving. The shape is perfect. You could put a small popsicle stick in before freezing too.
