Banana Bread with Nut Topping

Ingredients

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ cup butter, melted

½ cup white granulated sugar

⅓ cup sour cream

2 eggs, beaten

3-4 medium bananas, ripe and mashed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)

¾ cup powdered sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1-2 Tablespoons milk

In a small bowl, whisk flour and baking soda and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, sour cream, beaten eggs, mashed bananas and vanilla. Stir to combine. Add flour mixture to the wet batter and mix well until flour mixture is incorporated.
Spray a 9x5 loaf pan with baking spray and add half the batter to the pan. Sprinkle with half the sugar/nut mixture. Pour the other half of the batter and spread. Top with the rest of the sugar/nut mixture and with a knife, swirl the topping into the batter.
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 45-55 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it cool. Drizzle with topping.
Sugar Nut Topping
In a small bowl add sugar, cinnamon and nuts and mix until combined.
Drizzle
In a small bowl, mix sugar and vanilla. Add one teaspoon of milk and stir. Add more milk depending on how thick you want the drizzle.
