The 10-minute happy hour spritzer. Make this fresh blueberry/lavender syrup and then add to a refreshing vodka/soda water drink and call it an afternoon.
Blueberry Lavender Syrup

Ingredients

1 cup water

½ cup sugar

1 cup blueberries

4 sprigs of lavender (or 1 ½ teaspoons dried food-grade lavender buds)
Directions
Add water, sugar and blueberries to a small saucepan and bring to a boil stirring until sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat and add lavender sprigs. Simmer for 10 minutes. Smash blueberries.
Strain the solids from the liquid using a fine mesh strainer. Discard the solids. Pour syrup into a glass jar with a lid and store in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks.
Recipe Note
To make a vodka spritzer
Fill a glass with ice
Add 1/2 shot blueberry syrup
Add 1 shot of vodka
Squeeze 1/4 piece of lime
Fill with sparkling water (can use lemon/lime flavored or plain) or club soda
Serve with a sprig of lavender or mint
Make a pitcher : Use 2 cups vodka, 3/4 cup syrup, 4 oz lime juice and fill pitcher with soda water
